Outdoor Learning Home / Academics / Outdoor Learning Students in 3rd through 8th grade go on multi-day field trips across the Puget Sound area and to other states. These trips are largely sponsored by our PTO. Our students study geology, biology, ecology, and navigation. They do fun physical activities, build friendships, and grow leadership skills and self-confidence. They even learn how to handle ropes and navigation of a sailing ship. Brighton’s multi-day field trips connect the learning in the classroom with the real world. They also help build a love of learning!
